As mentioned, this unit is very big on memory. You start with 64GB, which is huge already, but the Zen X-Fi2 takes it even further with its microSD slot. With this slot you can add up to 16GB of extra storage.


You will also get decent battery life with this flash MP3 player. It's designed to play music for 25 hours without a recharge, though you will only get about five hours of consecutive video play.

The list of file types you can play with Zen X-Fi2 includes WMA, MP3 and AAC on the audio side, and MJPEG, WMV9, MPEG4-SP and DivX 4/5 on the video side. We've seen longer lists but that is pretty respectable.
With a resolution of 400 x 240 pixels, the LCD screen should be nice and easy on the eyes, though competitors offer even higher resolution. Size-wise the screen will be a good fit for most uses, though 3 inches may be a little small for watching video.
